At least eight people were killed in a car bomb explosion in the Somali capital Mogadishu today.
Reuters quoted the director of ambulance services in Mogadishu, Abdul Qadir Abdul Rahman, as saying that "the car targeted a convoy of bulletproof vehicles," without giving further details.
Previous information had indicated a huge explosion on the road leading to the airport in Mogadishu, killing at least four people.
