The Guardia di Finanza of Bari carried out a search ordered by the Public Prosecutor against a journalist editor of the press service of the Regional Government of Puglia, under investigation for concurring in disclosure and use of professional secrecy and personal aiding and abetting.
"The provision - explains the Prosecutor - is aimed at the acquisition of evidence useful for the complete identification of a public official who would have revealed to the editor the existence of environmental collection devices in the offices of the Puglia Region in use by Mario Antonio Lerario".
The journalist would then inform Lerario "of the presence of bedbugs, thus helping him to evade the investigations of the judicial police".
According to the accusation, in fact, the former executive of the regional civil protection, in prison since December 23 for corruption, allegedly had the bugs removed from the offices.
