Duchess Kate's 40th anniversary photos were very well received.

One small detail caught the eye of most of the fans immediately, because it made the birthday boy so likeable.

London - Kensington Palace had published three new portraits of the Duchess of Cambridge on the occasion of her 40th birthday.

Not only fans were enthusiastic about the beautiful pictures.

One of the pictures showed Kate in a red robe.

This photo revealed a detail of the wardrobe that many dress lovers appreciate above all else.

The portraits of Duchess Kate (40) were taken by the Italian photographer Paolo Roversi (74) in Kew Gardens and were very well received.

In one of the three photos, Kate wore a red strapless taffeta dream by Alexander McQueen.

The must-have that caught the attention of fans is an application that not every dress has, but Kate's designer outfit does - the dress had pockets.

But that's not all: the Duchess of Cambridge buried her hands in it.

By the way: There are similarities between this special portrait of the wife Prince Williams (39) and a photo of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II (95) from 2019, in which she too casually poses with her hands in her pockets.

Kate is said to want to celebrate her milestone birthday privately with her family, but to the reactions to her three portraits, she already shared a personal thank you message on social media with the words: "Thanks for all the nice birthday wishes and to Paolo and the National Portrait Gallery for these three special portraits.
