A car accident occurred on the third run site of the airport.
At about 11:30 a.m. on the 12th, it was reported that a 25-year-old male worker surnamed Yang was suddenly hit by a farmer's car of an outsourcing company while cleaning up garbage.
The worker suffered head and chest injuries and fell to the ground in blood. Other workers reported the incident on their behalf.
It is reported that since the three sites are all "bad roads", after receiving the report, the fire department dispatched cross-country ambulances with four-wheel drive stationed on Lantau Island to rescue; and before the fire ambulance arrived, the rescue team of the three sites also arrived. Ambulancemen then took the injured to North Lantau Hospital for treatment, and the injured was conscious when he arrived at the hospital.
Police arrived at the scene and investigated the 61-year-old male driver surnamed Liang.
Police classified the case as a "traffic accident where someone was injured".
