Fourth highest incidence in Bavaria: District near Munich becomes corona hotspot - gloomy prospects

Over night, Erding has once again become one of the few corona hot spots in Bavaria.
Erding - Due to the 245 new infections with SarsCoV2 that became known on Tuesday, the incidence rose by almost 100 points from 464.4 to 545.0, reports the Robert Koch Institute.
Nationwide there were even more than 80,000 infections on Wednesday.
In Bavaria, Erding is now in fourth place - behind Ebersberg, the city of Munich and Starnberg.
Corona hotspot Erding: Incidence is likely to rise to well over 600 on Thursday
In Erding there is an unchanged, strong increase in the number of infections.
District office spokeswoman Claudia Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer only reported 191 new cases on Wednesday, 110 more than a week ago.
That means: The incidence is likely to rise to well over 600 on Thursday.
Those affected are between 0 and 77 years old.
They come from Erding (66), Finsing, Oberding (10 each), Eitting (9), Taufkirchen, Wartenberg (8 each), Berglern, Bockhorn, Dorfen, Ottenhofen (7 each), Forstern, Moosinning (6 each), Kirchberg (5), Fraunberg, Langenpreising, Lengdorf, Walpertskirchen, Wörth (4 each), Isen, Neuching, Pastetten, St. Wolfgang (3 each), Steinkirchen (2), Buch (1).
The total number of infections rises to 16,271, those of those who have recovered to 14,822.
Corona in Erding: High incidence - 67.8 percent vaccination rate
According to the health department, there are currently 1,294 infected people registered and 1,786 district citizens are in quarantine.
At least no new quarantine orders for schools and kindergartens were known on Wednesday.
A second Covid patient was admitted to the intensive care unit at Erdinger Klinikum, reports Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer.
However, nobody has to be artificially ventilated yet.
13 Covid patients are currently being cared for in the isolation ward.
The State Office for Public Health announced that 336 infected people had to be admitted across Bavaria in the past seven days, and 491 were in the intensive care unit.
The Erdinger vaccination center reports that 1045 people were vaccinated on Tuesday.
The total number rises to 223,434 cans.
93,500 district citizens are fully vaccinated.
The rate is 67.8 percent, for those over twelve it is 76.3.
41,500 district residents have now also been boosted.
New corona rules for mandatory tests and quarantine
The district office points out innovations in the infection protection ordinance.
With the booster vaccination, the 2G-plus rule immediately eliminates the obligation to test.
Minors who are regularly tested in school are still exempt from the 2G rule in hotels, restaurants and sports.
Quarantine and isolation are limited to ten days.
Free testing is allowed from the seventh day if there are no symptoms.
Schoolchildren and daycare children who were classified as contact persons can test themselves free after just five days.
