In the Berliner Strasse in Munich, dozens of families shivered for days in their Dawonia apartments before they received the relieving news on Tuesday evening.
Munich - jacket, hat, scarf, hot water bottle and a cup of tea - that's how Silvia R. sat in her apartment in Schwabing * for the last few days.
Because since Wednesday (January 5th) the heating was no longer working there.
The thermometer only showed 11.5 degrees.
“It's freezing,” she says.
"It's easy to get sick there."
The 63-year-old was not the only one with this problem ... As she reports, several apartment buildings belonging to the real estate company Dawonia on Berliner Strasse were affected.
Dozens of families shivered in their homes *.
"We also have a lot of children and senior citizens living with us," says Silvia R. "It's particularly difficult for them."

Munich families caught off guard by a heating failure: repairs are delayed
On Tuesday afternoon (January 11th) it looked as if they would all have to continue to freeze.
At first, a short-term repair of the heating was promised, explains Silvia R .. But the tenants were repeatedly put off.
Then she finally got another bad news: "I was told that we have to hold out even longer," she reports.
"A part must first be ordered so that the heating can be repaired."

At the same time, at temperatures of 11 degrees in the apartment, “a health risk must actually be assumed”, as the Munich tenants' association explains.
"A very high rent reduction is realistic," says the public relations officer Volker Rastätter.

But in the early evening there was still a pleasant surprise: Silvia R. went into the bathroom - and noticed that it was getting warmer there again.
“I couldn't believe it at first,” she says.
When asked by tz

: "The heating is working again." It was not easy to get the services and spare parts so quickly.
