(ANSA) - FOLIGNO (PERUGIA), 12 JAN - It is a low wall that "attracts" accidents, as if it were a magnet for cars.

"In twenty years - those who live in the building beyond the fence tell ANSA - it will have been knocked down at least 50-60 times by vehicles that have ended up against us. We are afraid that sooner or later a tragedy will occur". It happens in Foligno, at the intersection between Pietro Gori and Via Cave Ardeatine, just outside the historic center, despite the traffic being regulated by a seepage system.

The umpteenth killing occurred on Sunday evening, when a van literally broke through it ending with the rear side inside the courtyard of the condominium, alcivico 14. Everything aroused the amused reaction of the social. On Facebook, in the Foligno Reporting group, a competition for the cutest meme was triggered and it must be said that someone snatched more than a smile. There are those who even invoke Alberto Angela to try to give a scientific explanation to the many events or who paraphrasing the famous film "Karate Kid" writes: "Put a wall, remove a wall".

"We understand that everything can be fun, but unfortunately, for us who live on this side of the fence, there is nothing to laugh about", says Tecla Bacci. "This portion of the fence is damaged on average two or three times a year - explains the condominium - and before it is too late a solution must be found, we propose that the intersection be removed completely, prohibiting vehicles from entering via Cave Ardeatine they come from via Roma ".

"Together with the competent offices we will try to adopt a solution as soon as possible to avoid these continuous accidents", assures the municipal councilor for traffic, Riccardo Meloni.

"The fact remains - he adds - that there has been a traffic light here for years, operating 24 hours a day, which should simply be respected.

Unfortunately it does not happen and it is difficult to imagine the closing in of Cave Ardeatine, but I can assure - he concludes - that we will do everything possible to put an end to this dangerous situation ". (ANSA).
