The corona incidence in Munich and other regions of Bavaria is increasing by leaps and bounds.

Is another lockdown looming now?

Actually, the rules are clear.

Munich - The Corona * numbers are increasing, the Omikron variant is on the rise.

On Tuesday, the Bavarian cabinet around Markus Söder * met on the current situation - and on the implementation of the MPK resolutions from last Friday.

But the reins were not tightened.

Instead, the government even opted for a milder route.

In this way, there is no need to tighten the rules in gastronomy.

Here the 2G rule remains instead of 2G Plus. *

Corona rules in Bavaria: lockdown from an incidence of 1000 no longer in keeping with the times?

The statements on regional hotspots were not quite as specific.

Is a lockdown * still appropriate if the incidence is over 1000?

“Does the delta logic also fit on Omikron?

That is the key question that arises, "said State Chancellor Florian Herrmann on Tuesday at the press conference.

Current corona rules in Bavaria: This happens at an incidence of over 1000

  • Restaurants have to close (to-go operation is still allowed)

  • Services close to the body are prohibited (exceptions: medical, nursing and therapeutic services as well as hairdressing services)

  • All cultural sites are closed (e.g. museums, theaters, cinemas and libraries)

  • Music and driving schools are closed (exception: face-to-face exams);

    no face-to-face teaching at universities

  • Operation and use of sports halls, fitness studios and dance schools is prohibited

Regional corona lockdown, although rules are no longer “up to date”?

A complete overview of the corona regulations from an incidence * of 1000 can be found at the Bavarian Ministry of Health.

No region in the Free State is currently above this value - but that could only be a matter of time, because experts expect the numbers to explode in the coming days.

Apparently the state government wants to raise the limit for regional lockdowns, of 3000 had been whispered in well-informed circles. * Consultations of the Council of Ministers on this should take place in the next week.

Corona in Bavaria: These districts and cities are over 500 - experts expect numbers to explode

  • District of Ebersberg: 635.7 *

  • City of Munich: 596.8

  • Starnberg district: 565.1

  • District of Lindau: 549.4

  • District of Erding: 545.0

  • Ostallgäu district: 540.5

  • District of Munich: 536.2

  • City of Würzburg: 530.1

Corona lockdown for Munich, although the rules are no longer “up to date”?

But what happens if Munich or other Bavarian circles should jump over the incidence mark of 1000 this week?

Will lockdown measures then come into force even though the State Chancellery considers them to be no longer “up to date”?
