Oberammergau - At the invitation of Florian Streibl, the chairman of the Free Voters parliamentary group, State Minister Klaus Holetschek came to Oberammergau in person to gain an insight into the preparations for the 2022 Passion Play. In addition to the Minister of State, Streibl, who is based in Oberammergauer, also invited the District President of Upper Bavaria, Maria Els, to the meeting. District administrator Anton Speer and the representative of the health department, Hansjörg Wiesböck from subject area 62 - epidemic and environmental hygiene, could not be missing. Dr. Marion Scharte from the respective specialist department in the ministry accompanied the Minister of State.

In a relaxed atmosphere, everyone involved exchanged ideas on the subject of the Passion Play 2022. How and under what conditions can the Passion Play 2022 take place? Those responsible for the Passion Play, but also the two Oberammergau mayors, voiced their concerns about the feasibility. Various topics could be discussed in an informal exchange. All authorities assured their support within the framework of the legal basis and are open to further discussions. Minister of State Holteschek was enthusiastic about the dimensions of the Passion Play Theater, a short tour of the building was of course possible. “We cannot say at the moment which legal basis will apply in spring. Even a look into the crystal ball doesn't help, ”said parliamentary group leader Florian Streibl.For this reason, the feasibility of this is to be discussed again in March. kb
