President Bashar al-Assad received today, from the Iranian side, Rustam Qassemi, Minister of Roads and Cities Building, Chairman of the Syrian-Iranian Joint Economic Committee, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Syria and Iran, especially at the economic level, where President al-Assad stressed the importance of establishing new projects that would achieve the joint strategic benefit of Syria and Iran and link the business sectors in both countries.
The talk also dealt with ways to expand bilateral work in the public and private sectors and encourage joint investments with the aim of giving a new impetus to trade and economic ties.
Minister Qassemi reiterated his country's firm position in supporting the steadfastness of the Syrian people in the face of the terrorist war they are being exposed to and its keenness to expand cooperation between the two countries in all fields that serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
