The police are looking for witnesses to an accident with a 68-year-old cyclist in Unterföhring.
The man had to be resuscitated after falling off his bike at least twice.
Unterföhring - As the police reported, on Tuesday around 3:50 p.m., passers-by found the 68-year-old from the Munich district in the Bahnäckerallee / corner of Föhringer Allee area lying on the road next to a bicycle.
The man was approachable.
The passers-by provided first aid and notified the ambulance service.
However, the man refused any medical assistance and, after recovering somewhat, continued on his bike.
Not far from where he got on his bike again, at the level of Bahnhofstrasse 16, he fell again onto the road - without any outside interference.
Here, too, an accident witness and other passers-by immediately provided first aid and notified the rescue service.
Obvious injuries were not found at this point, but the man's vital functions stopped after a short time.
The arriving paramedics immediately initiated further resuscitation measures and took the 68-year-old to a hospital.
Due to the unexplained cause of the accident, the police are now looking for witnesses.
People who can provide relevant information about the course of the accident are asked to contact the Accident Command, Tegernseer Landstrasse 210, 81549 Munich, Tel .: 089 / 6216-3322.
