Damascus-SANA
Temperatures tend to rise to become higher than their rates by about 2 to 5 degrees Celsius as a result of the country being affected by a weak extension of a shallow depression accompanied by relatively humid southwestern currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The General Directorate of Meteorology expected in its morning bulletin that the weather will be between clear and partly cloudy in general, turning to cloudy over the coastal, northern and island areas, to become the opportunity for showers of rain to fall on those areas. The rest of the regions and the sea are medium to light waves.
Tomorrow, temperatures will remain 1 to 3 degrees higher than their average, and the weather will be partly cloudy in general, with the chance of rain showers remaining over separate areas of the country.
During the past hours, a number of governorates witnessed rainfall of varying intensity, the highest of which was 51 mm, in Buqa, in the Lattakia countryside.
The bulletin of the rain seeding project issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform stated that precipitation rates were as follows in Lattakia, recorded in Buqa 51 mm, Kasab 45 mm, Wadi Qandil 20 mm, Bahloulia 16 mm, Al Haffa 10 mm, Al Muzayra’a 9 mm, Al Basil Airport 8 mm, and Latakia 3 mm.
In Idlib governorate, 15 mm were recorded in Armanaz and 9 mm in Jisr al-Shughur.
