The Bavarian Regiobahn supports the THW Bad Aibling

Holzkirchen - The Bayerische Regiobahn supports charitable organizations again.
The THW Bad Aibling is also happy about a donation.
Holzkirchen - The THW Bad Aibling is well equipped, but there are always requests that the volunteer members have to finance themselves through their support association, such as a large tipping trailer.
“It's not mandatory, but it would make our work easier,” says Bad Aiblinger local representative Bernd Reinartz.
So the BRB donation of 1000 euros comes in handy.
Every year the Bayerische Regiobahn asks its subscription customers whether they would like a thank you present for Christmas or whether they would prefer a charitable organization to receive financial support.
Subscription customers have been in favor of the donation for years.
This year, 1000 euros go to the THW Bad Aibling, among others.
When the check was handed over, BRB managing director Arnulf Schuchmann asked how Corona affects the work of the THW. At the beginning, the vehicle halls were used as a warehouse. Disposable gloves, protective suits, disinfectants, masks, all of this was stored and given out on site at the THW. “We had up to a million masks in store here,” reports Christian Widhammer, Group Leader, Section N. The “N” stands for emergency care and repair. As the dimensions got bigger and bigger, the system was changed, at some point the collection on site could no longer be organized.
In addition to Corona, the THW has many other tasks in the area of local hazard prevention.
A few examples: illuminating fires, assistance in truck accidents, but also simple activities such as shoveling snow.
They are mainly on the move in the Rosenheim district, but in the event of a disaster, support is provided throughout the whole of Germany, including in Ahrweiler in the summer.
"We are organized across Germany," explains Bernd Reinartz, "that is our strength."
An employee of the BRB, also a member of the THW Bad Aibling, had established the contact.
And every year, when the Bavarian Regiobahn commemorates the terrible train accident in Bad Aibling, it becomes aware again how valuable the help of the THW is.
At that time, THW helpers were also on site.
