The plague of squatters persists despite the new law, teachers are taking to the streets to protest against health protocols and a pig's heart has been transplanted into a man.


Dear readers,

Are we occupying your house without asking your permission? Do not dare to dislodge these cumbersome squatters yourself, you may have to go to court and find yourself doomed. Absurd? Certainly. This is the magic of French law! The latter has nevertheless evolved, since last year, under the impetus of the government which wanted to toughen the legislation against squatters and to favor somewhat the owners whose lives are sometimes undermined by these illegal occupations. While it has made it possible to move things forward, this new law has not really helped to get rid of a lingering scourge.

Another absurdity denounced this week in France: that of health protocols in schools.

Teachers and parents of students faced with repeated tests, contaminations which skyrocket, classes closed and teachers absent, are on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

And who says crisis says strike, right?
