Psychologist Yuval Carmi admitted and was convicted of an indecent act between therapist and patient.
This is the second charge against the psychologist and another patient who complained against him.
As will be recalled, an indictment was filed against Carmi alleging offenses of sexual intercourse between a patient caregiver, an indecent act between a caregiver and a patient in one patient, and an offense of indecent act without the consent of another patient.
As stated, the indictment was corrected for an indecent act between a mental therapist and a patient, he confessed and was convicted of acts without consent to the punishment.
The defendant is a certified psychologist by profession and a yoga teacher who has received patients at the private clinic in his backyard.
According to the first indictment, the defendant treated a young patient starting in 2017 after experiencing sexual trauma, and when she suffered, among other things, from post-trauma and dissociative dissociations.
In December 2020, the young woman came to a treatment meeting at the clinic, where the defendant offered her to perform a "chakra connection" exercise and she agreed.
During the exercise, while she was sitting on it and they were stroking each other, Carmi kissed her.
The next day, the young woman arrived at the clinic, where the defendant performed sexual acts on her while taking advantage of her mental dependence on him.
According to the second indictment, during 2018 the defendant treated another young woman after experiencing a mental crisis.
In one of the sessions the defendant instructed her to perform a role-playing exercise, at one point the young woman began to cry and he hugged her, touched her and kissed her without her consent.
