Not so in Aich: What the Schützengesellschaft is currently doing makes others green with envy.

- Due to a lack of raw materials and inflation, many construction sites are currently dormant, but not the one in Aich: With a lot of their own work, the shooting society is currently building the extension to the existing clubhouse in order to then operate the most modern shooting range in the district in addition to Eichenlaub Appersdorf-Gerlhausen. If it goes into operation in the course of this year, then you could shoot in the Bundesliga purely from the premises. When the SG Aich was promoted to the Upper Bavarian League, you could feel the spatial limit. For home fights you had to rent from neighboring clubs in order to be able to shoot the duels one against one. In the future, this will be possible without any problems if you can use 16 fully electronic stands in your own extension. The shooting area can be separated from the rifle home with the catering by a glass wall.If the glass wall is removed, the extension offers space for a larger audience. In terms of sport, it will be the house of unlimited possibilities.

Three weeks ahead of schedule
Actually, that's already it on the construction site. "We have a specialist in the association for almost every trade," says chairman Florian Tristl. On some Saturdays he himself stands in the 430 square meter hall and is amazed at how up to four different teams work in different corners on the roof, lay cables or paint the high walls. Tristl doesn't have to beg because the association works with passion on its jewelry box. And he can pronounce the sentence that brings tears to the eyes of other site managers: "We are three weeks ahead of schedule."

The priority in the work is definitely sport, so that the SG Aich, whose air rifle team is number two in the district behind Kranzberg, has every opportunity for training and competitions. After the shooting ranges have been completed, Florian Tristl would also like to tackle the outdoor facilities promptly in spring, because the new entrance is important for the accessibility of the house. In addition to the clubhouse, the Schützenheim in Aich is also the venue for meetings.
But it is also clear that rising material prices and inflation are not leaving the perfect construction site in Aich without a trace. The association has 500,000 euros available for the extension, with a grant of 134,000 euros from the city of Moosburg and 165,000 euros from the Bavarian Sport Schützen-Bund. The SG Aich therefore does a lot of its own work and Tristl reckons that the measure will have been paid off in 15 years.

The luxury is postponed until later
His way of economic sanity is to postpone some luxuries until later.
A projector for a multimedia experience for the audience or a television above the shooting range with the hit display could be moved.
On the construction site, all cables are laid in such a way that the technical solutions, such as those on the Hochbrück Olympic shooting range, can be retrofitted at any time.
There is currently no need to expand the photovoltaic system on the roof of the extension either.
In principle, Florian Tristl would like to expand electricity generation, but this is currently not economically feasible when comparing costs and income.
