Daraa-Sana
The Directorate of Agriculture in Daraa, in cooperation with the Damascus University branch in the governorate, carried out today a afforestation campaign within the garden of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
The Director of Agriculture, Engineer Bassam Al-Hashish, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the afforestation campaigns have been launched since last November and include different areas of the governorate.
In turn, the head of the forestry department in the directorate, Eng. Jamil Al-Abdullah, stated that today's campaign falls within the context of the afforestation campaigns launched by the directorate in cooperation with the Damascus University branch in Daraa, indicating that the trees that were planted in the garden of the Faculty of Arts include vertical cypress, fruiting pine and lagostrum.
A number of students participating in the campaign expressed their happiness with the step that adds an aesthetic character to the college garden.
