The Omicron variant virus outbreak broke out in the local community. The Centre for Health Protection announced today (13th) that there were 14 new confirmed cases and less than 10 preliminary confirmed cases.

Two of the initial cases are nurses from JP Medical. One of the part-time nurses is a nursing student at the School of Continuing Education of Baptist University. She was with a confirmed patient at the Gold Coast Mall Clinic on the 3rd of this month. As for the other nurse who was initially positive, there was no overlap with the part-time nurse.

This evening, the government sealed off the residences of the two, including Block 1, Lung Shing Garden, No. 345 Castle Peak Road, Castle Peak Bay, Tuen Mun, and Block 2, CapitaLand Garden, No. 13-17, Wing Fat Lane, Tuen Mun. The target is tomorrow morning (14th). Complete the action at 7 o'clock.

The Government today (13th) invoked the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing of Certain Persons) Regulation (Cap. 599J) to make a declaration of restriction and testing. Tuen Mun designated "restricted areas", namely Block 1 of Lung Shing Garden, No. 345 Castle Peak Road - Castle Peak Bay, Tuen Mun, and Block 2 of CapitaLand Garden, No. 13-17 Wing Fat Lane, Tuen Mun.

Persons to be tested are required to wait at their premises until all identified persons in the "restricted area" have completed their tests and the relevant test results have been roughly confirmed, before leaving their premises.

The government's goal is to complete the operation tomorrow (14th) at about 7am.

21-year-old Zhuang Bai Medical part-time nurse contracted the virus after sharing the scene with the confirmed patient

The case involves two nurses who are also JP Medical. One of them is a 21-year-old part-time nurse who is a nursing student of the School of Continuing Education of Baptist University. He attended the Kowloon Tong campus of Baptist University from 10 to 12 this month.

Earlier, the wife and son of the proprietor of the East Asia Pharmacy in Tuen Mun Aiding Shopping Centre were diagnosed. They visited Zhuang Pak Medical Clinic on January 3. At that time, the doctor checked the patient's throat, and the nurse who was diagnosed in the early Ming Dynasty was also there.

She will work in four clinics on a daily basis. On January 3 and 4, she mainly works at Clinic No. 101A, Xindu Building, Tuen Mun. Wanglou Clinic works, and is mainly responsible for accompanying doctors to diagnose patients on a daily basis.

As for the other 22-year-old female nurse who was initially positive, she did not overlap with the part-time nurse.

She worked at the clinic at No. 101A, Xindu Building, Tuen Mun on the morning of January 4, and at the Luen Wang Building Clinic, Yanzheng Street, Tuen Mun, on the afternoon of January 4, 8, 9, and 11.

The government will set up temporary sampling stations in the "restricted area" and require those tested to be tested before 0:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Those who are inspected will be arranged to undergo nucleic acid testing at the sampling station, and a combined throat and nasal swab will be collected by a designated person.

The tested persons must remain in the premises until all persons have test results to reduce the risk of cross-infection.

The government will arrange door-to-door sampling for the disabled and the elderly.

The spokesman pointed out that according to the mandatory testing announcement issued today, any person who has been in the above-mentioned building for more than two hours between January 3, 2022 and January 13, 2022, even if he was absent when the "relevant announcement" came into effect In the "restricted area", mandatory testing is also required on or before January 15.

Due to the mutated virus strains involved and the associated risk of infection, it is prudent that people who have been vaccinated and who have been tested recently are still required to be tested.
