Police officers and ambulancemen arrived at the scene and found about five injured people, all suffering from stab wounds.
The ambulancemen rushed them to Princess Margaret Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital respectively, and the remaining 3 patients with minor injuries were later sent to Caritas Hospital for treatment.

The police searched the vicinity for the suspect and launched the "quick action", setting up roadblocks to intercept vehicles in the vicinity of the traffic arteries to track down the whereabouts of the suspect.
The police found blood stains in several places in the playground, and a bicycle was suspected to be pushed down during the chaos. At the same time, they found three knife sets in the center of the road, suspected to be related to the case, and seized them as evidence.
