The Hamburg police have banned a demonstration by opponents of vaccination and corona measures planned for Saturday.
Police spokesman Holger Vehren told the German Press Agency on Thursday that the decision was made in view of the drastic increase in the corona numbers for infection protection reasons.
Since a large part of the expected 11.
Hamburg - 000 to 15,000 participants are anti-vaccinations, it is not to be expected that infection protection measures will be observed.
The health authority, with which the police closely coordinated the decision, came to the conclusion that, under the current circumstances, meetings are only responsible if all participants wore masks.
"That has not happened at this gathering in the past, and it is not expected," he said.
The notifying party also showed that it was not willing to cooperate.
"She has made it clear that she wants to hold the meeting exactly as it has in the past few weeks and not differently."
The Saturday demos in the city center have been very popular since December.
Last Saturday, almost 14,000 anti-vaccination opponents and Corona doubters took to the streets.
"They are not out to keep the rules," said Vehren.
At the demonstrations in recent weeks, masks were often not worn or worn incorrectly and false certificates were presented to simulate an exemption from the mask requirement.

"They'll wear masks, we assume," said Vehren.
