Good news: French intellectuals are worried about the spread of American "wokism", an avatar of the "anti-racism" of the 1980s and its prohibitions. Bad news: these defenders of the freedom of thought see nothing of the hygienist ideology which disfigures liberal democracies, in France particularly, on the pretext of fighting against the Covid. At the Sorbonne, for two days, thinkers chose to deconstruct the deconstructors: in the United States, the latter impose their moral order on campuses. Their conflicting dialectic, which makes the "dominated" the sacred victim, is now infiltrating French universities and summoning minorities to wake up (
woke
).
This reaction of an intelligentsia against a stifling political correctness is a happy awakening.
However, the same danger born of sanitary hysteria leaves these “intellectuals” speechless.
