Officially, China has not imposed any sanctions on Lithuania following its rapprochement with Taiwan.
Unofficially, the situation is quite different.
In the fall, freight transport by train was suspended, export authorizations for food products were blocked.
Since the end of August, Arunas Laurinaitis, vice-president of the confederation of industrialists, has only been dealing with this question.
“The economic pressure started in August.
Exports of wood and furniture have been blocked
,” he adds.
To date, according to his information, more than 1,000 containers are waiting to be cleared.
