The Syrian Trading Corporation continued the marketing operations of citrus from Tartous farmers today to its halls in various governorates and public authorities, according to the recently approved government plan.
Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem Bin, told reporters during his briefing today on the marketing operations in the packaging center in Tartous that there are a number of cars transporting citrus from fields to packaging centers and then to sales outlets, pointing out that the pace of work and marketing of citrus is good.
The Director General of Syrian Trade, Ziad Hazaa, indicated that 45 tons were marketed in Tartous and transferred to the Syrian trade halls in the governorates and government agencies that request the supply of citrus, such as the Department of Internal Security Forces, Hospitals and the Department of Appointments of the Ministry of Defense in order to open new internal markets.
In turn, the farmers expressed their satisfaction with the prices and the marketing mechanism.
