The Minister of Health tested positive this Thursday for Covid-19, announced his entourage.
Olivier Véran took a test after "the appearance of mild symptoms," he told AFP.
"As the protocol requires, being vaccinated three doses, he will respect isolation and continue to work from the private quarters of his ministry, where he resides," added his services.
“I have just been tested positive for Covid, confirmed on Twitter Olivier Véran.
And the Minister of Health to add: “As a result, I put myself in isolation and continue to perform my functions remotely.
"According to the health protocol in force, Olivier Véran must isolate himself for 7 days.
He can leave isolation early, on the 5th day, with a negative PCR or antigen test.
I have just tested positive for Covid.
As a result, I put myself in solitary confinement and continued to perform my duties from a distance.

According to the entourage of the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, present Wednesday morning at the Council of Ministers, had been warned in the afternoon to be a contact case via the “All Anti Covid” application and had undergone a first test negative.
“Given the appearance of mild symptoms this afternoon, he tested again, positive this time.
He also confirmed his self-test with a positive antigen test, ”says the same source.
Vaccinated three doses
Olivier Véran had received his booster dose on October 26, after being vaccinated for the first time on February 8 with AstraZeneca serum.
He had received a second dose of vaccine on May 3, Moderna serum this time, AstraZeneca was then limited to those over 55 years of age.
This is not the first time that a minister has tested positive for Covid-19.
In December, the Minister in charge of Foreign Trade Franck Riester had been, shortly after the Minister in charge of Industry Agnès Pannier-Runacher.
Prime Minister Jean Castex was himself forced into solitary confinement after a positive test in November.
