At about 7:40 am today (13th), a 7-vehicle collision occurred on Tseung Kwan O Road heading towards Kwun Tong. The accident involved 3 taxis, 3 private cars and a motorcycle. The motorcycle driver suffered minor injuries.
Police are investigating the incident.
Affected by the car accident, the traffic on the site was severely congested, and the traffic line was close to 5 kilometers.
At 8:40 a.m., the Transport Department stated that due to a traffic accident, the expressway of Tseung Kwan O Road (towards Kwun Tong) near Tsui Ping South Village was still closed, and motorists could only use the remaining lanes.
At present, Che Lung Mei on Tseung Kwan O Road (towards Kwun Tong) has reached Wan Wan Avenue near Clear Water Bay Peninsula.
Motorists should consider using other roads such as Po Lam Road North and Po Lam Road.
