Many agencies are already reporting demand for Passover: The price of a flight to the United States will fall by 36%, a significant reduction in Europe as well • And in Israel? Should you start saving?

The sky has opened, the long isolations have been removed, and quite a few Israelis are already starting to plan their next vacation.

Although Passover will take place in three months, many agencies are already reporting demand for the holiday.

We checked with two of them - will we pay more for a Passover holiday this year?

Data from the Gulliver travel company shows that the prices of vacations abroad will be significantly lower than those we paid for Passover last year.

Prices for flights to the United States will be about $ 500 this year compared to $ 778 on the same date last year, a difference of 36%. The price to Ukraine will be about $ 243 compared to 383 last year, a difference of 37%.

In the package segment that includes flight and hotel, there is a clear decrease - a holiday package on Passover for six nights in a four-star hotel in Rhodes will cost $ 525, while on Passover last year the price was $ 598 - a difference of 12%.

A two-night vacation package at a five-star hotel in Varna will cost $ 393 this year compared to $ 457 last year, a gap of 14%.

From the data of the vacation lines company, it can be seen that there is also a clear decrease in the prices of vacations abroad this Passover. Four nights in a four-star hotel in Dubai will cost $ 699 per person in a double room this year, last year the price was $ 803.

Four nights at a four-star hotel in Prague will cost $ 399 this year, and last year the price was $ 519.

The price drop continues even when looking at three nights in Antalya - $ 548 compared to $ 629 last year.

Four nights in Rhodes - $ 565 compared to $ 706 last year.

While prices around the world are falling, Gulliver data shows that in Israel there is even a rise in prices in most of the hotels surveyed.

At the Leonardo Hotel in Tiberias, you will pay NIS 2,294 this year for two nights for a couple, compared to NIS 1,970 last year, which means that the price will increase by 16% this year.

At the Dan Panorama Hotel in Eilat, a couple and two children will be required to pay NIS 5,301 this year, compared to NIS 4,802 last year - an increase of 10%.

In Israel it is different

At the Lot Hotel in the Dead Sea, the price is NIS 4,350 for three nights for a couple, compared to NIS 3,978 last year.

The airline found several hotels that had lowered prices this year.

VERT Hotel Eilat will offer four nights for a couple on Passover for NIS 3,369, while last year the price was NIS 3,900.

The Queen of Sheba Hotel, which changed owners this year, will also offer three nights per person in a double room for NIS 1,849, and last year the price was NIS 2,163.

Another hotel that is showing a drop in prices is Isrotel Sport Club - four nights on an all-inclusive basis will cost from NIS 1,832 per person in a double room on Passover this year, while last year the price was NIS 2,290.

The trend in Israel is different from what we see abroad. Flight prices are tens of percent lower than those we paid last year, and vacations that include flights and hotels are also significantly cheaper than what we paid last year.

On the other hand, hotels throughout Israel usually show an increase in prices, and it is estimated that as we get closer to the deadline, prices will continue to rise further.

However, as mentioned, there are hotels where you can find lower prices than those we paid last year, and most tourism companies are already reporting an increase in demand for Passover vacations.

Were we wrong?
