Occupied Jerusalem - SANA
The mother of the Palestinian detainee, who has cancer, Nasser Abu Hamid, announced today a hunger strike until the Israeli occupation authorities release him.
Palestinian media quoted the mother of the prisoner, Abu Hamid, as saying: “Starting today, I decided to go on a hunger strike in solidarity with my son, who has been in a coma since the fourth of this month and suffers from difficult health conditions in the occupation prisons.”
On the seventh of this month, the family of the prisoner Abu Hamid, through SANA agency, appealed to the international community and all the free people of the world to take urgent action to save him from the clutches of death in light of the policy of deliberate medical negligence practiced by the occupation against him and pressure to release him and provide him with the necessary rapid treatment.
Palestinians in the cities and towns of the West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip participate daily in vigils in support of the prisoner Abu Hamid, 49, who has been detained since 2002, demanding his release.
