Fischbachau - The Fischbachau municipal council has discussed the future of the Wolfseehalle.

A decision is still pending.

The condition of the Fischbachauer Wolfseehalle is bad.

The large location is only used to a very limited extent.

Reason enough to think about how the building should go on in the local council meeting.

Refurbish, lease, sell?

There were different opinions on this.

The parish building is worn out or was never completely finished, as chamberlain Veronika Rauscher explained. The lightning protection system is missing. In some cases, fire protection is no longer guaranteed. There is a lack of thermal insulation. The kitchen can no longer be used for cooking. The chamberlain showed a desperate condition.

In addition, the event hall is located in the immediate vicinity of the newly emerging “general residential area” on Wolfsee. A use for clubs is not convincing either, since they hold their meetings in various restaurants. Possibilities for a communal use would be given as a fire station or as a kindergarten. Or by leasing it to non-disruptive businesses. A sale could also be considered. It is important to strive for a solution that is as economical as possible, believes Rauscher: "We should start thinking about it."

Michael Gartmeier (CSU) wanted to know what the current costs, including interest charges, would be like. The building is connected to the local heating supply and is only heated when required. Events are still taking place there. With one per month the running costs could be covered, showed Rauscher.

Korbinian Wolf (Greens) can imagine community use for fire brigade or childcare, but: "An event hall is not the responsibility of the community." Andreas Gschwendtner (CSU) contradicted this.

The Wolfseehalle is a tourist and cultural offer and therefore a municipal task, possibly also in the form of a long-term lease.

The structure itself is “top”, said Lothar Prack (New List).

Fischbachau would be envied for that.

“What doesn't work at all”, however, is a factory on site.

That could also be a problem at events, thinks Martin Bacher (FWG): "We are planning a large residential area at the back and a hall at the front where a huge event takes place every weekend."

Josef Obermaier (CSU) pointed out that a tolerance obligation was laid down here, just as it was for the gravel works.

Eva Köhler (Greens) and Andreas Estner (FWG) would like numbers, also for the value of a sale.

The latter also pointed out that such halls in other municipalities are often a "bonus deal".

"I don't know if we need this next to the bathroom," he said.

How fast to act was another question.

“The hall doesn't get better a day,” Bacher referred to the increasing deterioration.

Bernhard Padeller (FaB) also pleaded for a short-term decision, as otherwise one might have to invest.

Deputy Mayor Willi Rothemund referred to a large number of open options at the moment.

Gartmeier saw no reason to rush due to the balanced figures at the moment.

“It doesn't burn under our nails.

We might have a special meeting there and decide after the election of the new mayor, ”suggested Gartmeier.

The whole committee found that a decision does not have to be made immediately.

This was postponed unanimously.
