The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) called on the Israeli occupation authorities to immediately release the child prisoner Amal Nakhleh, who is in a critical health condition.
UNRWA said in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the 17-year-old prisoner, Nakhleh, who has been detained since January 2021, suffers from a critical health condition since his childhood. A cancerous tumor, and due to his health condition, Nakhleh cannot receive the Corona virus vaccine, and he must take immunosuppressants, which means that his life is at risk if he contracts the virus.
UNRWA quoted the prisoner’s family as remarking on one of the few times that the occupation allowed him to see that he was suffering from difficulty speaking and breathing, which indicates the deterioration of his health, calling on the occupation authorities to release him immediately for urgent humanitarian reasons and expressing its concern about the continued arbitrary detention of Palestinian minors.
