1138 new corona cases: hospitalization incidence increases

The number of registered new corona infections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania continues to rise - and the incidence of hospitalization has also increased.

The seven-day incidence rose by 5.2 points to 430.6, as the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) in Rostock announced on Friday.

The number of Covid-19 patients admitted to hospitals within a week per 100.

Rostock - 000 inhabitants did not decrease for the first time in a long time, but rose by 0.3 points to 5.9.

1,138 new infections were counted on Friday, after 1,053 a week earlier.

Despite the increased incidence of hospitalization, easing will apply from Saturday, as the value on Thursday was below the 9 threshold for the fifth consecutive day.

On Friday, as on the previous day, the number was below the 6 mark, which is why the Lagus level map is colored yellow nationwide for the second day in a row.

If that were to remain the case, it would be relaxed further next Thursday.

In a national comparison, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania had the tenth highest value for the seven-day incidence.

The national average is 470.6.

However, in neighboring Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein as well as in Brandenburg, the incidences are significantly higher at up to 665 (Robert Koch Institute/Friday morning).

In the risk-weighted classification of the districts and urban districts, the traffic lights on Wednesday were only yellow for Ludwigslust-Parchim, and orange for Northwest Mecklenburg, Western Pomerania-Greifswald and Schwerin;

the district and the Hanseatic city of Rostock as well as the Mecklenburg Lake District and Western Pomerania-Rügen were colored red.

According to Lagus, there were 263 Covid patients in clinics on Thursday, 21 fewer than the day before.

Their number in intensive care units was 83, down 8 from Thursday.

12 more Covid-19-related deaths were reported, bringing the total in the country to 1,569.

Little happened with the first and second vaccinations: According to the Robert Koch Institute, 72.8 percent of the people in the north-east have been vaccinated at least once.

71.1 percent have basic immunization after two vaccinations.

According to this, 43.5 percent of the population also received a booster vaccination, only here a clear growth can be seen.
