A house for seniors, children and living is being built in Putzbrunn.

The concept has now been presented four times.

The council has not yet made a decision.

A workshop should help.

Putzbrunn

– Even after the fourth presentation of a concept for the house for seniors, children and living that is being built at the Putzbrunn bus station, the municipal council was unable to come to a decision.

The details of financing, size and planning are to be determined in a workshop in January.

According to Mayor Edwin Klostermeier (SPD), the community has no time pressure, there are various funding pots that you want to tap into when everything is set.

On his initiative, the "Maro Genossenschaft" from Ohlstadt and the AWO district association Munich-Land put together and created a concept.

A house for senior citizens, citizens, children and living is to be built as a "Putzbrunn beehive".

Funding around 5000 euros per square meter

The children's home will have two kindergarten groups with 50 children and two crèche groups with 24 children. The AWO recommends flexible use in order to be able to switch between kindergarten and crèche groups as needed. The conceptual focal points are child, situation, community and family orientation. It is important to work together with the parents on an equal footing with an educational partnership and transparent communication. An intercultural approach, inclusion with the joint education of disabled and non-disabled children and health promotion are to be taken into account. The AWO calculates around 856 square meters, including a therapy room, of which 491 square meters would be funded with around 5000 euros per square meter, plus at least ten square meters of outdoor space per child.

The "Maro" presented ideas for seniors.

This includes designing the house as a meeting place with household-related services, with outpatient offers for seniors and to relieve the burden on caring relatives.

However, it is not intended to be a place for the elderly, but a meeting place for all generations.

This creates new contacts, networks, loneliness is reduced and cross-generational understanding is created.

Multi-generational housing project desired

For a meeting place, "Maro" expects 150 square meters for a room based on the principle of an "open living room", a kitchenette for lunch, events and offers, office and storage room. Depending on the number of opening days, annual subsidies from the municipality are calculated at between 23,000 and 54,000 euros. The "Maro" also proposes a dementia shared flat for ten people, aimed at relatives who are looking for relief. Day care is a sensible and economically feasible supplement. But they needed a larger catchment area because they are not used that often.

There are currently three day care centers in Ottobrunn, one in Haar and one in Neuperlach (AWO).

Whether a day care in Putzbrunn (still) would have a sufficient catchment area would have to be examined more closely.

A multi-generational housing project is also desired by the municipal council.

The "Maros" recommends at least 30 such apartments, since only from this size onwards does the togetherness succeed particularly well.

The workshop should now clarify these details, especially who should build the house and later manage it.
