A serious traffic accident occurred on Tai Po Road in Sham Shui Po today (14th). A 14-year-old female student was hit by a taxi while crossing the road and was involved in the underside of the car. She is now in critical condition.
The injured female student was studying in a middle school two roads apart from the accident scene. She was walking to school at the time, but the accident happened unexpectedly. The mother was very worried and revealed that the doctor said her daughter had high intracranial pressure and needed brain surgery.

At 8:11 this morning (14th), a red taxi was passing by Tai Po Road in Sham Shui Po near Mei Ho House and hit a 14-year-old female student. She was caught under the car and trapped. She was rescued by firefighters at the scene. She suffered injuries to her face, hands and feet, and was taken to hospital by ambulance. She is now in critical condition.
The taxi driver surnamed Liu (58) was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm.
The Cam footage of the incident car was recorded. The taxi involved was driving on the left lane along Tai Po Road towards Mong Kok. The traffic light was green at that time. When the taxi passed the light, a passerby suddenly rushed out from the footpath. On the road, the taxi turned right and stopped.
After the driver stopped the vehicle, he immediately checked the condition of the injured under the vehicle, and the passengers in the back seat also got out of the vehicle to understand.
The injured female student was studying at Chen Shuqu Memorial Middle School. Her mother told "Hong Kong 01" that her daughter was the only daughter in the family. When the incident happened, she was walking to school as usual, but an accident happened unexpectedly.
The mother also pointed out that her daughter was in the intensive care unit of the hospital, and the doctor said that her intracranial pressure was high and she needed brain surgery.
