An indictment was filed today (Friday) against Abdullah bin Hamdan Manaia for membership in a terrorist organization, infiltration and arms transportation
.
The 23-year-old defendant, a resident of the Gaza Strip, was arrested on December 19 and confessed to everything attributed to him.
According to the indictment, the defendant was drafted into Hamas in 2016 and at the end of a year of religious studies joined the terrorist battalions of the terrorist organization.
Starting in 2017 and for three years he was an active partner in the excavation of ten terrorist tunnels, and received NIS 40 per day for the work.
Prior to his arrest, he met with another activist in the Gaza Strip, when the two bought three spray grenades.
"The defendant arrived at Jihad Jared's house, with the grenades in his possession. The two were walking towards the border fence, when Jihad was carrying a grenade, a knife and a cutter. The defendant was carrying two grenades and a knife. At around 20:43 the two approached the border fence and "Someone cut the fence," it read.
The two were arrested immediately after the same intrusion attempt, when the IDF fired at them and they lay on the floor.
