Superintendent Chen Jiangming of the Police Drug Investigation Bureau pointed out that from January 11 to 13, officers of the Police Drug Investigation Bureau conducted interception and search operations in Yuen Long, North Point and Western District.
During the operation, the police arrested a 58-year-old local man and a 40-year-old Filipino woman on charges of "trafficking dangerous drugs", and seized over 154 kilograms of various types of drugs, including 96 kilograms of heroin, 25 kilograms of marijuana and 34 kilograms of cannabis. Ketamine, with a market value of about HK$125 million.
One of the arrested men was temporarily charged with one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug and appeared in the Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts this morning (14th), while the other arrested woman, a foreign domestic helper, is still being detained by the police.
Senior Inspector Ng Ka-lun of the Police's Drug Investigation Division said that on the 11th of this month, detectives stopped a 58-year-old man surnamed Lau local on Ma Tin Road, Yuen Long. The detectives found 4 kilograms of ketamine on him.
After that, the detectives escorted him back to his unit for search, and seized 42 kilograms of heroin, 25 kilograms of marijuana and 5 kilograms of ketamine, and seized HK$1 million in cash.
Police said the drugs were believed to be related to a warehouse in Western District, and a truck was also called to deliver the drugs to a mini-storage in North Point.

The police pointed out that a 44-year-old Chinese man is currently wanted, and he is believed to be a key member of a drug syndicate, and he cannot rule out further arrests.
Chen Jiangming continued to point out that the drugs seized this time were divided into small pieces and squares, each weighing about 150 grams. It is believed that it is convenient to mix the drugs into cocoa beans for disguise.
