The Collective Security Treaty Organization announced that its forces have fulfilled the tasks entrusted to them in Kazakhstan, noting that there were no confrontations with militants there.
"The operation was very effective and the goals that were set for the peacekeeping forces of our organization were achieved," the organization's Secretary-General Stanislav Zass said in an interview with Russia Today. Peacekeeping forces".
He continued, "Now we can say that the situation in all of Kazakhstan has returned to the control of the state and law enforcement agencies," considering that "the emergence of peacekeeping forces has caused some real impact in Kazakhstan and that some reckless people have remained calm, realizing that the matter will not pass them peacefully."
Units from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan participated in the peacekeeping forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to calm the tense situation in Kazakhstan, and these forces successfully protected strategically important facilities.
It is noteworthy that the CSTO is a political-military alliance that emerged in 2002 from the Collective Security Treaty concluded in 1992 and includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
