In these early days of January 2022, Danish intelligence services publicly communicated their concerns, warning that
"a number of foreign states are actively carrying out intelligence activities against Denmark
, and even that
"the threat of espionage has increased in recent years
. The report, which mainly targeted Russia and China, was leaked as Defense Foreign Intelligence (FE) boss Lars Findsen is accused of leaking top-secret information to the media. On January 10, in the courtroom in Copenhagen, he protested:
“I want the charges against me to be made public. I am not guilty."
Before revealing his identity, kept secret until then by justice.
