Result: between 2015 and 2021, France posted a record 91% growth in business creation, compared to the European average of 22%, according to business registration figures compiled for

Over this same period, Germany recorded an underperformance of -22%, as did Italy (-12%) and Bulgaria (-18%).
In Germany, the number of business start-ups has been falling steadily for ten years.
France is at the top of the group of the most dynamic countries in this area, along with Ireland and, to a lesser extent, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain.
The European dynamic observed before the pandemic has therefore resumed after a brief pause in 2020.
