The Hohenbrunn elementary school, the teachers' residence, the Hohenbrunn children's world and the fire brigade equipment house are connected to the district heating system.
This has now been decided by the Hohenbrunn municipal council.
Hohenbrunn
- The municipality will fall back on an offer from Stadtwerke München.
The board did not take the decision lightly.
After a preliminary consultation in the environmental and climate protection committee, based on the presentation of the adapted heating concept by the Energy Agency Ebersberg-Munich, the committee decided on a feasibility study for a biomass district heating network compared to district heating.
He commissioned the engineering office Energie-System-Technik GmbH.
For a local heating network, the heating center with fuel storage would have to be integrated into the primary school or a containerized system would have to be built on the local sports field.
funding determined
The study also determined and compared the space requirements for fuel storage and the heating center, delivery situation, legal emissions situation, chimney height, investment volume (budget), possible local heating routes, currently possible subsidies and operator models.
That sounds like a lot of effort.
The bottom line is that the study shows that the district heating supply from Stadtwerke München is cheaper than creating a biomass local heating supply.
Negotiations were recently held with the municipal utility to include a possible connection of the school area west of the railway in the agreements.
If the secondary school and Montessori school are connected to the district heating network, this will have a positive effect on the economic efficiency of the district heating option.
There are already inquiries about connections
It was also discussed that residents of the district heating lines could have their house connections connected to the district heating network.
There have already been inquiries, but the currently very high costs for a house connection seem to be a deterrent.
The proposal to pool demand met with general approval.
If there are enough interested parties, a house connection could be significantly cheaper.
Under certain circumstances, higher subsidies will soon be available for a district heating connection.
The municipality already supplies the Riemerling elementary school, the Carl Steinmeier secondary school, the municipal building yard, the Kaiserstiftung, the rectory and the “Zuhause am Hölzl” housing project with district or local heating.
The connections for the Riemerling sports campus and the town hall are still being implemented.
