Huge jackpot on Saturday: Munich is chasing the 45 lottery millions

Everyone is hoping for a rain of money: the jackpot in the lottery game 6 out of 49 is particularly high this Saturday.

In Munich, too, many gamblers are chasing the millions.

Munich – There is a lot going on in the Silvester Bicok kiosk in Giesing: "The mood is euphoric," he says.

Because everyone dreams of a big windfall.

45 million euros can be won in the lottery game 6 out of 49 on Saturday.

"Of course, the higher the profit, the more interesting it is for customers," he says.

This is confirmed by Leonhard Schmid, who, as lottery district manager, oversees around 145 lottery acceptance points in and around Munich: "You can tell that sales are increasing and one or the other is willing to invest more," he reports.

“The classic thing is to type in dates of birth.” On the other hand, many people do this – and the likelihood of having to share a prize increases.

"If you don't choose a pattern and tick higher numbers, then the numbers are less likely to be the same," advises Verena Ober from Lotto Bayern.

The tips of the lottery expert

If it works, it's best to remain silent.

"It's important to think carefully about who you tell about the win and to make a plan for how to proceed," she recommends.

Quit your job immediately and go on a shopping spree?

The money could be gone quickly.

Another piece of advice: "Tip communities should think about how they will split the money if they win," she says.

And don't forget to check if you've won.

"Currently, a million prize is still open," reports Ober.

The stranger filled out the "Bayern Millions" form in December 2019 in the Memmingen area.

“The winner has until the end of 2023 to report,” she says.

The highest profits

In the 6 out of 49* game last year, Munich paid 45.5 million euros for over 2.6 million game orders.

Nine Upper Bavarians won at least one million euros, another 57 participants between 100,000 and one million.

By the way: The record amount that a person won in the 6 out of 49 draw is 42.6 million euros.

A player from Baden-Württemberg was happy about this in October 2020.

In September 2015, three craftsmen from Middle Franconia got the highest Bavarian profit of 33.3 million. 

If the million jackpot* is not cracked in the draw on Saturday, there will be a compulsory payout in the next draw on Wednesday: Even if no player has six correct numbers plus a super number, the money will be divided.
