Last week, an IDF spokesman in Arabic announced that a Hezbollah skimmer that was shot down by the IDF on the Lebanese border had revealed photos of terrorist operatives.

The photos, mistakenly taken by the glider, clearly show members of the Radwan force, Hezbollah's elite unit, operating on the Lebanese border for intelligence gathering.

In the past year, there has been a significant increase in the number of Hezbollah attempts to operate drones along the border to gather intelligence, and on the other hand, the IDF has increased its capabilities to downgrade forces. In 2019, 54 Hezbollah drones penetrated Israel; Over the years, most of them have been overthrown by the IDF.

Most of the skimmers work to gather intelligence on IDF forces along the perimeter fence, in patrol skies and even over outposts and bases.
