Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian discussed with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing today ways to enhance bilateral relations and a comprehensive cooperation plan between the two countries.
According to Iranian media, Abdullahian said upon his arrival at Wuxi airport this morning that "the purpose of the visit is to discuss bilateral political relations with Chinese officials, as well as the implementation of agreements between Iran and China on economic cooperation."
This is Abdullahian's first visit to China since assuming the position of Iranian foreign minister.
The two foreign ministers met last September on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe.
