Seven high school students from Saint-Avold (Moselle) were slightly injured on Friday January 14, knocked down by a car whose driver clearly lost control, AFP learned from the firefighters and the Sarreguemines prosecutor's office.

The facts occurred shortly after 12:00 p.m., Lieutenant-Colonel Michaël Schmitt, of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) of Moselle, told AFP, confirming information from the regional daily Le Républicain Lorrain.
The high school students, five 17-year-old boys and two girls, all attending a nearby school, were hit by a car driven by a 19-year-old, the officer said.
