The fire stations in Stockdorf and Oberbrunn are showing their age and have not been able to meet the requirements for a long time.
That should change now.
Gauting – The municipality of Gauting has to raise money for its district fire brigades in Stockdorf and Oberbrunn.
Both tool sheds urgently need to be renewed.
The garage in Oberbrunn, which was built in 1970 and in need of renovation, in which the emergency vehicle of the 18 active members is parked, has neither separate changing rooms nor sanitary facilities.
The fire brigade in Stockdorf has the same problem with 40 emergency services, including eight women.
Planner Constanze Höpner took a closer look at both buildings on behalf of the municipality.
She herself is active in the Unterbrunn volunteer fire brigade.
On Tuesday, she presented the results of her assessment to the building committee of the Gautinger municipal council.
Fire station Oberbrunn: "In need of serious renovation and in parts dilapidated"
The Oberbrunn fire station on Petriweg is said to be “in dire need of renovation and in parts dilapidated”.
There are regular repairs to the leaking roof and gate.
Höpner therefore made suggestions to the municipal councils for two new building variants, even if the changing room problem plays a minor role, since there are no female activists.
However, it is far too narrow.
According to commander Florian Haas, there is also no space for a trailer.
The architect recommended a larger new building with a separate women's changing room, shower, toilet, space for the trailer and two apartments "on top" because the area would be sealed anyway.
The construction costs for the minimum variant without apartments would be around 550,000 euros.
With apartments on the equipment hall as an extension of the existing community center, around one million euros would be due.

Stefan Berchtold (MfG/Pirates) wondered why the building committee was already dealing with a new building when the fire brigade requirement plan with the future location of the new equipment house in the main town of Gauting would only be ready in the summer.
Eberhard Brucker (SPD) also criticized a “wrong order”.
The requirements plan does not make any statements about the condition of the buildings, explained Mayor Dr.
Brigitte Koessinger.
She does not want to put up with the accusation that the administration did not provide information in good time, she said.

In Stockdorf there is the same problem as in Oberbrunn, said architect Höpner, who also identified a parking problem.
The emergency services would have to park to the side and "walk over" on the path where the fire engines drive out.
That could end badly at night when half asleep.
In addition, the offspring only have a basement room without windows.
For Stockdorf, Höpner suggested an extension with 60 changing rooms and a training and youth room above.
The parking spaces would be moved to the rear so that the maneuvering area on Bahnstraße could remain free.

"We are 55 members with 50 to 60 missions a year plus two first responder vehicles that move out every other day," explained Commander Michael Suhrbier.
His team urgently needs a training room, the office and changing room have to disappear from the hall, and the youngsters need their own youth room - which, by the way, is also the only meeting place for young people in Stockdorf.
In the end, the majority of the committee agreed that at least the planning costs for a new building in Oberbrunn and an extension in Stockdorf should be made available in the current financial year.
