The prefect of Oise Corinne Orzechowski has decided to suspend for 15 days the certificate of pack compliance issued to the crew of La Futaie des Amis, under whose responsibility the hunt concerned took place
", is- he stated in a statement.
The deer pursued that day had ended up near a hamlet and should have been pardoned, according to the regulations.
But "
a member of this crew nevertheless fired his rifle
" to shoot him down, the statement said.
“A fault that is not acceptable”
"
This individual behavior constitutes a fault which is not acceptable
", considers the prefecture which "
plans
" to "
ask the hunter concerned to give up his weapons
". The man in question has been removed from his crew. “
This boy himself suggested that I no longer be part of it. He is aware of having made the wrong decision
, ”recounts to AFP Alain Drach, master of the crew of the Futaie des Amis. At the time of the incident, he was keeping the dogs away from the hamlet, as required by the regulations.
If he recognizes "
an act against the law
", Alain Drach believes that this "
red card
" should "
concern only the player who has acted badly, and not the crew as a whole
".
Stanislas Broniszewski of the AVA collective (“
Abolisons la Vénerie Today
”) denounces on the contrary “
the accumulation of incidents for years
” and continues to ask for “
the definitive suspension of this crew

Alain Drach in return accuses the AVA collective of "
systematically disrupting the hunts
" and of "
looking for the incident
".
On December 22, the collective reportedly “
arrived with a car to be able to film, and blocked the road
”.
“
Otherwise, the deer would go back into the forest
,” according to the boatswain.
The Senlis prosecutor's office has opened an investigation for "
endangering the lives of others
" and "
offences against hunting legislation
