The affair of canceling plantings in the Negev is in fact the essence of the story of the right-wing party, or more precisely: the story of Naftali Bennett.
It is certainly no longer a "coalition crisis" that reveals, like its predecessors, how hollow and scribbled is the propaganda of the formations and paragons in the "harmonious" coalition of normal people from the right place.
It's ultimately a story of a leadership weakness, as pitiful as it is outrageous, of a prime minister and a coalition collapsing within minutes under an ultimatum from the Rama and a Bedouin riot - just about a week after this coalition gave them the "historic course of justice" law Electricity and the regulation of illegal construction in the Negev.

Only on Saturday did he brag on TV that he would vote against a law brought by Ayelet Shaked, declaring: "We formed the government and brought Ayelet Shaked and others to be ministers." I would not be surprised if Ayelet Shaked, Elkin and Bennett cringed in front of the TV.

So no, it's not just a story about a disgraceful collapse of Zionist principles in the face of rioting Bedouins that continue to rage even after the tractors fold and a "compromise" is reached, and not just a screenshot of a conflict within an artificial coalition whose members, like Yair Golan and Zeev Elkin, came to work. On it, and if possible then also behind the back.
This is first and foremost a story about a prime minister who lacks any authority and weight, around whom he plays.
What every Israeli citizen should ask himself is, during the 48 hours that the JNF stopped planting in the Negev because of a threat from the Ram, and in the shadow of violent riots in the style of the Wall Guard - did you hear the voice of an authoritative, leadership prime minister The actors, and for the citizens, the limits of the patience of the Jewish nation in the Land of Israel for political and violent blackmail on state lands?

Even before Bennett even thought of taking a rudder out of his mouth, Lapid had already defined the situation and the solution: "The State of Israel should plant trees on state lands, but the livelihoods of the area's residents must not be harmed. To be redeployed. "

And this is the heart of the story: Bennett's seemingly right-wing wing in government and within his bureau no longer exists.
The story is over.
Under the determined leadership of Shimrit Meir, the ideological and practical axis dances to the flutes of Lapid's flute and there is a future - and that is where Bennett also stares.
In Bennett's bureaucratic, chaotic and oppressed bureau, there are actually two camps.
The one, which was supposed to be dominant, is more right-wing in its tendency.
It includes Tal Gan Zvi, Bennett's team leader and advisor for many years, and to some extent also Itai Hershkovitz and Matan Sidi.
Opposite them is the "wing" headed by Shalom Shlomo, the cabinet secretary and servant of two masters: formerly Bennett's adviser, later Lapid's adviser.
Today it seems that he is completely on Lapid's side.
Both - Shimrit Meir and Shalom Shlomo - pull Bennett and the entire bureau in the direction of Lapid.
In this way, the right wing of the bureau disintegrates and the influence of the right wing in the government crumbles.
No one will raise an eyebrow around the bureau if this repression is also expressed in practice, and Gan Zvi, Hershkovitz or Sidi - or all three together - will find themselves outside the bureau sometime in the next six months.
Anyone who has somehow somehow fantasized that this front, in the government and in the bureau, will be the last barrier to Lapid - he better wake up from the dream.
They are irrelevant.

So politically Bennett made a decision to stick to the torch and crumble the faint remnants of what was once the “right-wing front” in the change government.
The leaked voices of the frustrated members of the right are also related to this development.
The chairman of their party abandons them to face the protests of the right-wing "base" alone - and he is also on his way to making an exit on their backs.
And the one who is watching this whole story closely is Ayelet Shaked.
Shocked, ostensibly, by Mansour Abbas' humiliations, and her declining public status, she nevertheless hangs one last hope that this crisis will somehow settle the cards in her favor.
She expects like a good soldier that Gantz will keep the word he gave her personally, and approve the activity of some symbolic seating structure in Eviatar or connect some outposts to electricity.

Then, she dreams, she will emerge from the ruins of her public image with "tremendous achievements" in hand and take the right-wing heart by storm again.
Well, it's not at all certain that Gantz will deliver the goods.
But even so - she, and members of the right, live under the illusion that there is someone sane on the right and in the national camp, who in exchange for Eviatar and some electricity in the young settlement will forget to her and her friends how they led to the dismantling of the national camp. You allowed Abbas, the Golan and the Torch to uproot a planted Zionist value, and there is no forgiveness for this shame.
