Presidential 2022: where are the candidates in the polls?
The deserted streets of a small village in the North, Honnecourt-sur-Escaut, experienced a lively revival with the arrival of Éric Zemmour. The candidate of Reconquest! sought to link two themes, rurality and school - the mayor, Jean-Pierre Golebiewski, having notably considered a hunger strike in 2017 to avoid the closure of a class.
“I am for a municipality to keep its identity and if you support me at this level, I will give you my sponsorship”
, launched the city councilor to the candidate. Éric Zemmour denounced
"a kind of frantic ax on the part of the administration which is closing schools"
, explaining that while
"National Education is rushing to close"
classes when the number of students is insufficient, he wants to smooth out this procedure over three years.
"The school has been the beating heart of the nation for centuries
," concludes the candidate.
