Rain of varying intensity in all governorates, the highest of which is 88 mm in Tartous

During the past 24 hours, all governorates witnessed rainfall of varying intensity, the highest of which was 88 mm, in Drikish, Tartous.

According to the bulletin of the rain seeding project issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, the percentage of precipitation in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside was distributed between: “37 mm in Madaya, 30 mm in Sergaya, 25 mm in al-Haramoun, 22 mm in Maysaloon, 17 mm in al-Zabadani, 15 mm in al-Kiswa, 14 mm in Jadida al-Shaibani, Yabroud, al-Qatifah 4 mm, al-Mushrifa and al-Jrajir.” 3 mm.

Precipitation was also recorded in “Qasioun and Masaken Barzeh 12 mm, Airport Roundabout 11 mm, Hejaz Square 9 mm, Mazzeh 8 mm, Aqraba, Assal Al Ward and Qatna 6 mm.”

The amount of rain in Quneitra governorate was “57 mm, Hadar, 38 mm Medina, and 24 mm in Nabe’ al-Sakhr.” In Homs governorate, it was in “Qal’at al-Hosn and Marmarita 20 mm, Nazareth 19 mm, Taldo 18 mm, Rastan 11 mm, Mukhram and al-Qusayr 10 mm, and Homs 7 mm.” Al-Aridha is 6 mm, Shen is 5 mm, Palmyra and al-Quraytayn are 4 mm.”

In Hama governorate, it reached 80 mm in Wadi al-Ayoun, 75 mm in Masyaf, 71 mm in Rusafa, 50 mm in Rabu, 32 mm in Muhradah, 29 mm in Medina, 28 mm in al-Hamiri, 26 mm in Suran, 20 mm in Harbinfa, 16 mm in Kafr Zita, 11 mm in Salamiyah, and in al-Ghab-Shatah 42. Ain al-Krom 29 mm, al-Karim and al-Suqaylabiyah 26 mm, and Apamea 11 mm.

In Tartous governorate, precipitation reached “88 mm in Drikish, 72 mm in Tartous, 59 mm in Mashta al-Helou and Sheikh Badr, 54 mm in Safita, 50 mm in Qadmous, 30 mm in Hammam Wasel, 27 mm in Safwa and 20 mm in Baniyas.” mm, Silfinfa 69 mm, Muzayra’a 58 mm, Bahloulia 48 mm, Qutaibiya and Buqa’ 44 mm, Latakia 37 mm, Qardaha, Kasab 34 mm, Al Hafa 32 mm, and Al-Basel Airport 25 mm.

Idlib governorate recorded rainfall amounting to “Armanaz 30 mm, Jisr al-Shughour 29 mm, Khan Sheikhoun 14 mm, Abu al-Zuhur 8 mm, Medina 7 mm” and in Aleppo governorate “Khanaser 14 mm, Aleppo Airport 8 mm, Medina 7 mm, al-Bab and Manbij 5 mm and Azaz 4 mm, Northern Ain al-Arab 3 mm, and Jarablus 1 mm.

In Raqqa governorate, it was recorded in “Bir Muhaisen 8 mm, Raqqa 5 mm, Ain Issa and Mansoura 3 mm, Tal Abyad and Jdeidet Khabur 2 mm.” and Al-Darbasiyah 4 mm,” and 2 mm were recorded in the city of Deir Ezzor.

The Ministry of Transport called on drivers yesterday evening to be vigilant, avoid excessive speed, and inspect the technical condition of the vehicle due to the prevailing weather conditions, especially the formation of ice, frost, fog or rain on some roads at night and in the early morning hours.
