The new term of the Legislative Council has kicked off, and the "Rules of Procedure" have been revised. Members must "form a team" to secure a certain number of Panel seats. The team list must be submitted before noon today (14th).

In the past, members of the "single-headed" functional constituency of the pro-establishment camp formed the "Group of Six" (G6).

According to an email sent by the Legislative Council Secretariat to Members, "G19" joined other Members in a team to join the Panel, and the list increased to 32, including single-headed Members Ho Kwan-yiu, Chan Hoi-yan and Lung Hon-biao, as well as 10 FTU and AFL Members .

However, it is reported that the above-mentioned single-headed members, FTU and AFL members and the "G19" formed a list purely for the purpose of joining the Panel. The remaining three single-headed members did not join the "G19", nor did they represent the "G19" and the FTU. There will be other alliances or cooperation with the AFL.

It is understood that there are 6 other Legislative Council members who have not formed a team and will try to join the committee as individual members, including Tian Beichen of the roundtable on real politics, Di Zhiyuan of new thinking and Lin Zhexuan of the medical and health industry.

The G6, which was originally composed of Liao Changjiang from the business sector (second), Chen Zhenying from the financial sector, and Chen Jianbo from the insurance sector, has formed an alliance with more like-minded single-headed members this year. The final list of 19 members has been finalized recently. The members include Qiu Dagan, Zhou Wengang, and Li Haoran. , Chen Manqi, Tan Yueheng, etc., the number of members is on an equal footing with the DAB, the largest party in the establishment.

List of G19 members:

Liu Changjiang, Chen Jianbo, Xie Weiquan, Chen Zhenying, Ma Fengguo, Yao Boliang, Yan Gang, Li Weihong, Fok Qigang, Qiu Dagen, Zhou Wengang, Li Haoran, Chen Manqi, Tan Yueheng, Chen Peiliang, Jian Huimin, Huang Yuanshan, Leung Yuwei and Hong Wen.

The 32-member list won 7 seats on each committee

The "G19", the Federation of Trade Unions, the AFL and the other three leading members will form a list of 32 members, and they can secure seven seats on each panel.

Some "G19" members said that there are more members of the alliance with industrial and commercial backgrounds, and more people want to join committees on finance, industry and commerce, or economic development, while the Federation of Trade Unions wants to join labor-related committees, etc. The relevant arrangements can be more effective. Many MPs join the favorite committee.

In addition, it is understood that 6 members of the Legislative Council chose to join the committee as individuals and did not form a team. They are Tian Beichen of the Real Politics Roundtable, Zhu Guoqiang of the Federation of Education Federations, Di Zhiyuan of New Thinking, Lin Zhexuan from the medical and health sector, and Lin Shunchao from the election committee. Lin Xinqiang in the legal profession.

Members who use the team quota can join the committee first, while members who do not form a team will be allocated the remaining seats. Members who have been allocated the fewest committees will have priority. If the number of participating committees is the same, the decision will be drawn by lot.

The single-headed member-designate seeks space for cooperation.
