The letter from Figaro of January 14, 2022

2022-01-14T05:59:15.651Z

Hope for the beginning of the end of the pandemic, China's diplomatic isolation and breathless teachers quitting.

Dear readers,

The Covid has been a nice break in our lives but we would all like to move on. In the population as well as among doctors and specialists, we very much hope that Omicron is the sign of the beginning of the end of this pandemic. The wave due to the variant detected in South Africa is certainly dazzling and impressive, but it also seems for the moment not very lethal. Encouraging. If this may be due to the mutation of the virus itself, vaccination and the immunity acquired in contact with successive waves of Covid are not for nothing either. This small glimmer of hope should not, however, make us lower our guard as hospitals anticipate complicated weeks. Hold on, then.

Happy birthday to the Nina who read us and to all the others!

Dear subscribers, I wish you a good day and an equally good weekend.
