The World Health Organization has recommended two drugs, “Parcesinib” and “Sotrovimab” for the treatment of patients diagnosed with the Corona virus.
Today, Sputnik agency quoted a statement by the organization that “parsesinib”, which is also used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, should be used with corticosteroids to treat patients with corona.
According to the statement, "Sotrovimab", a monoclonal antibody agent, can be used for mild to moderate cases in patients at high risk of hospitalization, noting that we are talking here about the elderly and people suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity, as well as those who are not vaccinated.
According to the statement, the recommendations contained in the eighth update of the Corona treatment guidelines of the World Health Organization are based on data from 7 studies that included more than 4,000 patients with mild, severe and critical forms of Corona.
Yesterday, the World Health Organization announced a large outcome of Corona virus infections during the past week, as it recorded more than 15 million infections, which represents an increase of 55 percent compared to the previous week.
The world is recently witnessing a significant increase in the number of infections with the Corona virus, with the spread of the highly contagious Omicron mutant.
